Flashing sword of boundless light
Piercing through the skull of night
Life and Death will dance tonight
Waltzes timed to thunder’s might
Summer’s rose and Winter’s bite
Love ascends to greatest height
Power and weakness, shadow and bright
Vision and blindness both unite
The sacred-profane, the passive fight
The destitute-rich, the widening sight
The ignorant-literate, the beautiful blight
Blessed are they who have died by this light
