There once was a Man dressed in white
Who prayed that his dreams would take flight
The angels they heard
Of his acts and his words
And then made him to labor all night.
There once was a Lady from birth
Who spoke of her greatness and worth
The angels they read
Of her heart and her head
And then stripped her of all but the dirt.
The true humble student must learn
The Prize is not given but earned
And the angels, they say,
Watch these two to this day
From the place where all Truth is discerned.
