Welcome to the first post of the calendrical New Year!
As previously mentioned, I have embarked on a new phase of my life by starting a second career (freelance writing). I’ll probably end up working as a copywriter. I’ve signed up with Writers Work and am beginning to learn this new skill.
From now on, I will draft everything on my new work platform so I can practice using the tools for jobs. So far, it’s going very well. This is the first document I’ve made with it.
Attempting to work through the holidays didn’t go as planned. After an unexpected incident, I was forced to take it easy. However, I still felt sitting around and letting my projects gather dust was wrong. I continued making small changes, hoping that this would help me get ahead come New Year.
This month, I am still feeling pretty overwhelmed. I have to remind myself that this is normal and to take it as a test. As long as I continue moving in the right direction, following the guidance I was given, and trying not to procrastinate too much – it doesn’t matter how long things take. It’s an adventure, not a race.
There are days I truly feel I need to rest, but I still try to sneak something in. We’ll have to see Whether I’ll pay for this eventually. Everything in life requires balance, but I also think I need to adjust to the new “normal”: having a tighter schedule due to more responsibilities. This experience also drives home the importance of having a physical and spiritual self-care routine. Perhaps I’ll share more about that at a later date.
I am also going to be making a list of posts to share on S.D. and a to-do list for my author site. I already have several items planned which will appear over the coming weeks. Getting organized will take time, of course; but I’ve already seen a difference in my productivity.
Originally, I was going to put everything in a single post. Instead, I’ll be dividing up the topics so each can get the time and attention they deserve. I hope my readers find them interesting and encouraging.
Have a blessed week!
